WELCOME

Life is constantly presenting us with situations we would rather avoid. But, life transitions are unavoidable.

Challenges such as:

  • growing up
  • dealing with limitations and disappointments
  • navigating the hurdles of mental and physical illness
  • the sadness that comes with letting go of others - either by death, divorce, or the end of a relationship or friendship
  • having a brain that thinks differently than others think it should

...are confusing for anyone.

verified by Psychology Today verified by Psychology Today Directory For over two decades, I have worked with children, teens, young adults, couples and families who are struggling with issues such as these. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Pastoral Counselor.  Through solution-focused therapy, applying complementary theraputic approaches, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and power to live a life you enjoy. Therapy may consist of practicing skills related to social and emotional learning; uncovering and navigating the challenges of depression, anxiety, and stress; or mapping out strategies to adapt to a variety of life transitions. I specialize in working with ADHD, mood disorders, impulse disorders, and helping individuals who are living with a life-limiting or life-altering physical illness, as well as guiding families that support others with chronic and terminal illness. I am LGBT affirming and welcome individuals of all lifestyles, cultures, and faiths. By being willing to try new approaches to problems and examine your beliefs about life — by studying how these beliefs impact what you expect from life —  you can learn how to enjoy your life. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand your past. Understanding can help you be certain that YOUR PAST DOES NOT DETERMINE YOUR FUTURE.

If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

Please call or email me for an individual, couples or family therapy consultation today.
